Yamaha
Factory Supercross/Motocross Team
The 2007 race season is looking bright for the
Yamaha Factory Racing Team with the addition of
three new stars under the blue awning: Grant
Langston, Broc Hepler and Josh Hill.
|
 |
Grant Langston joins the Yamaha racing team ready to
roll after clinching the Trifecta of Lites racing
last year.
Langston is the only rider to win every
possible Lites championship with his West Coast
Lites Championship in 2006, his East Coast Lites
Championship in 2003, a 125 National Championship
and the 125 World Championship in 2000.
So, it was
no surprise that it was time for this king of Lites
racing to move onto bigger and better things, and
he's doing just that riding the #8 Dan Rambart-tuned
YZ450F in the 2007 Supercross and Motocross seasons. |
|
|
 |
Yamaha sees great potential and a lot of dedication
in Kittanning, Pennsylvania native Broc Hepler.
After a broken foot kept Hepler sidelined during the
2006 Supercross season, he blasted back onto the
scene during the 2006 Motocross Lites series with
eight podium finishes and a win at Millville where
he led the second Moto from start to finish.
Now 100 percent healthy, Helper promises even more
podiums and wins aboard his #60 Ray Johnson-tuned
YZ250F, which he will race in the 2007 Supercross
Lites series and the 2007 Motocross Lites series. |
|
|
 |
On the other coast you’ll find Josh Hill, the
multi-time Yamaha amateur champion and AMA Horizon
Award winner (awarded to the best graduating amateur
racer), moves up through the Yamaha racing ranks and
to the Factory Yamaha awning.
Yamaha gave Hill
little time to enjoy his championships before moving
him to the pros for the last few AMA Motocross Lites
races of the 2006 season.
Obviously, that didn’t
faze the new pro rider as he scored a podium finish
in just his second race. Hill will race his #58
Jared Coles-tuned YZ250F in the 2007 Supercross
Lites series as well as throughout the 2007
Motocross Lites series. |
